For $20, you get:
20 pages of your screenplay read by professional consultants
A 20-point criteria evaluation check sheet
We at Screenbrokers, Bonnie Sanders and Andy Rodman, and our Let’s-Do-Lunch partner and colleague, The Script Surgeon, Sandi Steinberg have collectively read over 10,000 scripts. One thing we have all learned is that the first 20 pages can always tell us whether or not a screenplay is working. That’s why this contest is unique. We are always looking for that “great” script and hopefully we will find many. Remember, you will all be winners. Even if you don’t get into round two, you’ll have a checklist that will point out weaknesses and strengths and will help you to reach that “great” script goal. Now here's what happens:
Round 1
We read the first 20 pages of your script(s). Depending on the envelope you send, your pages are returned, along with a 20-checkpoint evaluation based on 20 screenplay imperatives for a production-ready script. All screenplays that meet all 20 criteria will be automatically entered into the second round in the running to obtain WGA agency representation.
Round 2
Send no money… Just your completed screenplay. If your script passes the 20-page test, we will request the full screenplay -- no additonal fees. The entire script will then be read by the original 20-page reader.
Final Round
Two additional judges will read these screenplays. All screenplays that meet the 20 question criteria by all judges are winners.
